Please join us at Sabino Canyon, for an evening of rhythm making and a chance to journey under the stars.
We will meet in front of the Visitor Center, at the ramada, at 5:15 p.m. and hike into the canyon at 5:30 p.m. where we will be until about 8:30 p.m. (You are also welcome to leave earlier if you need to.)
Participants who want to attend, please be aware that there will be a ½ mile road that is paved and then a unpaved, rocky descent into the canyon. You must be able to hike over rocky terrain both down and up.
To take good care of yourself, please wear appropriate walking shoes. You will need water, a flashlight, something to sit on, a percussion instrument (if you have one), insect repellant if you use it, a hat, and your open heart. We will provide instruments for those who may not have one.
This circle takes place out in nature. This means we will be aware of our surroundings and critters that might be present like snakes and scorpions. (You are responsible for your safety as agreed when joining Meetup in Our Terms of Service in Section 6.2. In addition when you RSVP, you are releasing liability for the organizers, the Institute for the Shamanic Arts, and Earth Web Media.)
In the event of rainy weather, we will still meet but we will drum under the ramada in front of the Visitor’s Center.
Donation for this experience is at least $5.00 to support the Institute of Shamanic Arts.
Please note that Sabino Canyon does charge a $5.00 entrance fee, or bring your park pass.
All experience levels are welcome!
Pictures will be taken. Please let the facilitator know if you do not want your picture taken.
