A few years ago blockchain was all the rage, but since then questions have been raised about its original application to currency and many other potential applications have been identified. Will it regain momentum to escape the trough of disillusionment, and if so, what application(s) will propel it, and what industries will be disrupted? Or will it be more like Google Glass or Segway, and perhaps be adopted for some narrow applications or user groups, but never achieve widespread use?

Hear the thoughts of our panel members on these questions and others and their views on the strategic implications for those in the public and private sectors:

Kaye Maree Dunn – Co-founder Āhau

Mark Pascall – Founder, the DAO agency, Executive Director Blockchain NZ

Professor Bill Tomlinson - Professor of Informatics; University of California, Irvine; Adjunct Professor, Victoria University of Wellington

The panel discussion will run from 6-7, with drinks, nibbles and networking for half an hour before and after.
