Presenting The Bill Holman Big Band

Jazz Master and multi-Grammy Award winning composer and arranger Bill Holman brings his legendary Big Band to open the 2019 Jazz at LACMA concert series.
With a career spanning nearly seven decades, Holman has written for the Stan Kenton Orchestra, Charlie Barnet Orchestra, Peggy Lee, Michael Buble, the WDR Big Band, and the Metropole Orchestra, along with countless film, television, and recording projects.

Bring a blanket or (low) camp style chair to sit on.

Thing like music are better shared. And food it too. Bring some bites to share. Finger Food such as chips, dips, crackers, cheese, fruit, bread, appetizers etc and etc and etc .. .

Where is this located?
They set the stage up just behind the "Urban Lights" area

Parking is $12 (free after 7pm). Parking garage is on Sixth Street just east of Fairfax Avenue, and on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard at Spaulding Avenue.
Your best bet is the parking at The Petersen. Same price but will not be packed.

The "event" is officially 6 to 8PM

Of course if you show up at 6, . . . parking is nuts and so is available space. Making the arrival window from 4PM to 5:30/6:00. Since not every gets there at the same time,
AND
Since it's impossible for a person to get there and then hold a massive amount of space . . .
Here is the way me make a meetup happen on the group for events like this:

WHEN YOU GET THERE . . .
. . . . Check the message board to see if any of the event hosts have posted a location. There can be several listed too.
. . . . IF you do not see anything this means you are there first.
THEN . . . Find a nice spot and post your location, time, and how to recognize you.
You will end up being the first hub and people will form to your location.
After that more location will form the later it gets and as the first locations fill.

Do you want to be one of the other added Event Hosts? Send a message and you can also be added on the event too. More hosts are always welcome.
