Better yet, . . . Rafting on THE MERCED!!!!!

This is a companion event to our Yosemite over Memorial Day Weekend

Some expressed an interest in rafting the Merced and asked if possible. And OMG, . . .yes it is possible and it is AMAZING. This will not be like other tame rafting on meetup. Most is on the Kern because it's close.

Snowpack is 175% of normal. And it's all melting with the spring warmth.
When we go into the park the waterfalls will be at the fullest. This also means the river is even more frothy and amazing than usual. It's safe, and it's epic fun.

Let's get to the specifics of this event.

We will be using a well known, established, experienced and safe outfitter/guides named Zephyr Rafting

Here is a direct link to them.

OUR Cost is $100 per person.
This is a discounted group price!!!!
It includes all the taxes and fees.
Normally adult is $ 117 plus 7.50 state fee and tax.
We are $100 all in.
ALSO To make it less expensive we are going direct with no middle.

Call Zephyr[masked]
Tell them our day: We have reserved Monday May 27th the 1/2 Day AM Departure.
Tell them you are with the Meetup to get our group price. (otherwise it is more). They also won't let regular public on our reserved trip and price. So make sure to tell them you are with The Meetup or with "I wanted to do that, . . . Just not alone!!"

The Rafting puts in the river at our campsite. So we do NOT need to go someplace and be shuttled about. We do not waste time.

It's 100 feet from your tent!!! (okay, . . . maybe 200)

This will be real Class 4 Rapids Their site does say the meeting point is Midpines . That is not correct for us. We are getting special treatment.
We are camping at the river entry point and they will bring all the gear to us and equip us at our campsite. Then shuttle us back to uphill to our campsite when we get to the bottom that is 11 miles away.

How do I get in on this?
Here is all you need:
Monday May 27th the 1/2 Day AM Departure.
$100 per person with all taxes and fees
Call Zephyr[masked] direct and book your spot

Can I do a different day or time?
They are fully booked for most other times. This is after all a holiday weekend. It will also not be with the group.

Do I need to be experienced or have rafted before?
You need to be able to swim. If you have been rafting before that helps. People who have done Kern will say Kern is a trickle compared. All will go thru all safety and instruction. They will do instruction for everyone and assume they need it.

How much space do they have?
They have space for 24 right now. That's 4 boats of 6.
Four (14) spots are taken already.

Call them to hold your place. They have space for only 24
