Event moved to May due to Early Snow in November.

I have some bad news/good news updates.

First . . . In the event it states

"The Caveat: This event will cancel if snow. First snow usually happens start of Dec. However it can be earlier. If there is a snow before Nov 20th . . . the event is canceled."

There has been snow. For example Mammoth just opened for the skiing several week early and ahead of normal season open.

The event also says: "The downside: This event is on Nov 20th. That's late in the season. Days will be wonderful and perfect temps. Nights will be colder. If you bring a second sleeping bag or several fluffy blankets to triple layer it up to keep toasty at night."
This is normally true. BUT with now it is beyond reasonable low for temps for average campers and only able if you have super cold rated gear as the temp at nite there now have shot very low (due to the early snow).

The event also does say: "Event Will Be Cancelled if there is snow before Nov 20th (not likely this year)

The camp has had to close for the season due to snow. I'm sorry. I know it's a bummer. It was a good gamble and odd based upon the last several years.

On the upside . . . . Snow is good and hopefully changes on the tread of global warming (one can hope)

With all of this in mind I am very bummed that we have to cancel due to snow on this one.

The event does say: " Refund Policy: No Refund of $6 Registration if you cancel or if event is canceled."

This is because whether the happens or not it is hour and hours and hours of work just posting and coordinating even if the site was free. And that happens if the event is able to happen or not.

HOWEVER . . . Not all is lost.

I will offer 100% of that as credit to any future event of ours. Sure . . . $6 is not much of a credit. It is still however something. Our ЯƎVƎЯƧƎ ƧƆAVƎИӘƎЯ HUИT is about $12 so this cover's half that. And Mingle Human BIngo is $9.69

AND we have plenty of other good camping that creating good decent safe social in the time of covid.

We do have another free event of a Great Southwest Road Trip over New Years

https://www.meetup.com/MoreToExplore/events/272078051/

To recap: Event cancelled due to seasonally early snow at the site.

BUT credit of funds towards any future event of ours.

We hope to see you at any of those OR at any of our in person and in town (free) events when the apocalypse lets up a bit.

Take Care and Be Safe,

Marc & Anna

This is a different kind of event.
It's a fair trade. You get to camp at a fab site right at the trail-head to the Big Pine Lakes.

The trade is that on Sat you have to put in 6 hours of work on the campsite.
In exchange you get Sunday all to your self. Depart Mon or Sun if you wish.

You will get Fri, Sat and Sun night if you wish.
Site does have electricity and fresh glacier spring water at most of the sites.

The downside: This event is on Nov 20th. That's late in the season. Days will be wonderful and perfect temps. Nights will be colder. If you bring a second sleeping bag or several fluffy blankets to triple layer it up to keep toasty at night.

The Caveat: This event will cancel if snow. First snow usually happens start of Dec. However it can be earlier. If there is a snow before Nov 20th . . . the event is canceled.

Event Will Be Cancelled if there is snow before Nov 20th (not likely this year)
Refund Policy: No Refund of $6 Registration if you cancel or if event is canceled.
