What is Ignite?
Ignite is a high-energy evening of 5-minute talks by people who have a burning idea—and the guts to get onstage and share it with their hometown crowd.

Fast-paced fun, thought provoking, social, local, global … Ignite is all of these and more!

“Enlighten us, but make it quick!” is the only theme at Ignite shows
If that sounds easy, there’s a catch: Ignite talks are limited to 20 slides set to auto-advance every 15 seconds. Once they begin - there’s no slowing down, no pauses, no do-overs, no excuses.

Every show, we curate 8 or more passionate speakers who bring a massively diverse range of surprising topics. No matter your interests or curiosity, our evening of 5-minute talks will titillate your mind with perspectives and ideas you never knew you really wanted to know.

SNEAK PREVIEW of a few of our upcoming speakers' topics

• Lighting Architect, Gabriela Sargeant, is not your ordinary light designer. Her work has included massive concert stages (e.g. Pink Floyd and Dire Straights!) and the new Google Building(s) in Zurich. Don't miss her, "Connecting Light Beyond Illumination," talk.
• Narwhals, those tusked whales of the Arctic, "see with sound really really well," says Jens Koblitz. An Echo-location scientist, Jens will fly us over the ice pack for a closer look of these fabled, but little understood, unicorns of the ocean.

• Isabel Kaeshammer takes us on a journey with a Zurich startup's challenging fight to survive. Do they? or do they not?
• Tomas de Wouters loves micro organisms - the kind that live in our waste tracts. He will show us why microbial transplants are the most promising new cure for common diseases.
• and more amazingly enlightening speakers who we're awaiting confirmation.

Keep in the know.
More speakers will be announced closer to the event. BTW, if you have a great story to tell live on stage, pitch your idea to us using the speaker form on our website (http://ignitezurich.org/).
