Hey fellow Jew Yorkers,
I wanted to tell you about this cool event hosted by the JCC in Scotch Plains. The JCC Early Childhood Department Hosts the Authors of The Children’s Book for Parents.
On Wednesday, September 10, the JCC’s Brody Family Early Learning Center will be hosting Faye Mandell, PhD and JCC parent, Nicole Riesman Rock, MA. Mandell and Rock are co-authors of The Children’s Book for Parents. There are two sessions, one at 9:30 a.m. and one at 7:00 p.m. at the JCC of Central NJ in Scotch Plains, 1391 Martine Avenue. The Children’s Book for Parents “is the instruction manual they never gave you when your child was born." It is intended to help parents transform their relationship between themselves and their child(ren). Join Mandell and Rock at this event where they will teach parents how to access their child's world to bring the most joy and harmony to their parent/child relationships. Through simple yet insightful true experiences that all families can relate to, parents will learn how to enter their child's world and have a chance to see everyday situations from a child’s perspective.
Books will be on sale at the JCC Member Services Desk before the event and at the event for $16.95. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
