2-hour comprehensive VR Workshop designed as a crash course into the world of virtual reality. The workshop consists of two main sections.
The first section is designed to get people up to speed on important concepts regarding Virtual Reality, computer hardware, and some basic computer science concepts. After this portion of the workshop is complete attendees will get a chance to create their very own VR experience. This part of the workshop takes place on a computer running the Unity game development engine.
There are no pre-requisites for attending the workshop. Using a template provided by Chronos Global Academy, students will craft a simple virtual bowling alley by modifying the physics of in game objects and some light scripting in the C# programming language. The knowledge required to accomplish this will be given in the first section of the course. When the workshop is complete each student will walk away with something valuable, it may be knowledge of the rapidly changing virtual reality market or a newfound interest in creating immersive content.
