What we're about

The Episcopal Church of St Matthew and St Timothy (26 West 84th St. Manhattan) is opening up its doors on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Vigil and Action. We also have a partnership with Congregation Rodeph Sholom (West 83rd St.)

As people of faith we must stand up for the dignity of every human being; this entails prayer and action. Our vigil will be a living witness as an affront to injustice and oppression. Our action will be to offer opportunities for greater civic engagement. Come and pray! Come to organize! Come to write to your elected representatives! Come to learn and teach!

Our small church does not have all the resources to make this a sustainable action for the long-haul by itself, but as an act of faith we trust that by offering of ourselves and of our space the commitment of many others will help make this an opportunity for transformation through witness and action.
