What we're about

Do you suffer from generalised anxiety, fear of criticism, fear of failure or acute stress? Improv is regarded as a highly effective tool for ‘well-being’.

“A brief intervention based on improv exercises may provide a strong and efficient treatment for patients with anxiety and depression”
Thera-prov: a pilot study of improv used to treat anxiety and depression” - Journal of Mental Health, July 2017.

Improvisation, or ‘improv’, is a form of live theatre in which the plot, characters, and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up spontaneously. There are no lines to rehearse and it is highly creative. No acting skills are required.

What happens during the day?

We have created tailored agenda of improv games/methods to help with anxiety, fear of failure and stress. Improv will allow you to reserve judgment of yourself and others, be in the moment and take action. We will explain the rules of Improv and will support each person during the games so each person can be spontaneous and experience fun, laughter and reshape the way in which we all view the world. We will carry out some warm-up games, followed by scene games. After activity there will be time to reflect on, and share your experience.
