Improvise To Improve Musical Workshop - Bring any instrument or use your voice!
A Workshop designed for musicians & singers but made for anyone who wants to relieve stress through music and learn confidence through musical improv. Simply bring any instrument or use your voice and experience improv in a safe, non-judgemental, private atmosphere. Beth Schuld is a full time professional musician and instructor with over 15 years of experience. Some of the more notable examples are: She has been invited to give workshops in the townships in South Africa, she has taught at Grant MacEwan College and the women's prison in Edmonton, she has played at festivals, and has experience as a session musician. Beth likes to include breath and awareness of the body as a tool to help get you out of your mind and into the moment. This allows you to be creative and express yourself more freely in a friendly and safe environment. Beth Schuld loves supporting people who are afraid to play or sing but can also show serious musicians it is okay to have fun with improv music. Try it once and be hooked. Beth has a way of helping people use their musical voice and learn to listen to the conversation between musicians. RSVP today.

What we're about

This group is for anyone wanting to sing, or anyone who finds themselves sitting at home with an instrument wishing to "jam" with other musicians but who are too scared to do so. This group gets together and does free improv. It is not a rock jam. All levels of experience are welcome. I will facilitate the improv and teach and guide at the same time. I use breath and awareness of the body to help people be expressive and creative in a fun and supportive environment.
