Thinking that something more centrally located might be better.....both Zeals and IHop in Schaumburg, have back rooms that can be semi or private depending on size of group...food at Zeal is good as is ambience and easy to talk in the back. There are also some places in Elk Grove, in Arlington Heights, and in Elmhurst as well as Wood Dale, that would work. Can also try some spots in Schiller Park and Rosies Rivers Edge Tavern on Devon in the Rosemont/Des Plaines area also has a lower level that's completely private, fairly quiet too...until late in the evening. Jimmys in Des Plaines also has semi private space or a large bar area where they serve and depending on which night of the week, is usually quiet...Have more too??

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying your holiday season so far.
I am putting this email out to all of you for ideas for a place that is:
1) Quiet and has a comfortable ambiance conducive for conversations
2) Great food at decent prices
3) Great selection of beers, wines and whatever
4) Located within a 10 mile radius of Addison, IL but preferably not in Chicago
I would like to post a regular event of friends getting together for conversation, food and drinks but would like a venue that doesn't have ridiculously loud music, loud sports games or drunk idiots walking around. I would like this event to be monthly and meant to get to know each other with intelligent and entertaining conversation.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
