Renaissance Fetival

Ren Faire is quickly approaching again! This is a massively fun event and everyone should try to make it out to this, even if it is not with the group. The festival here is better than most other places, it has it's own grounds with real structures, and yes, real restrooms!

There is more than you can see in a day, so we will be getting there a bit before it opens to avoid traffic. There is almost no traffic if you get there early, but if you intend to join us later, keep in mind that the traffic gets crazy and will probably add 30-40 minutes to the drive.

This is pretty far out, so I suggest carpooling, I'm starting in Ahwatukee but will probably set up a car pool at one of the grocery stores near the 60 in Tempe.

Tickets are $22 at the front gate, or you can save 2 dollars by grabbing them at Frys food. Parking is free, but expect somewhat expensive food and drinks inside.

There are many things to enjoy at the show, such as watching a guy use Fire Whips, a bird show, Musical acts, many comedy shows, juggling and balancing shows, a Hypnotist, sword swallowers, Blacksmithing, Glass blowing and so much more. Come expecting to be entertained for the whole day!

If you are not carpooling, you can find us through texting or calling me(Rick) at[masked]

Hope to see you all there!

I think I'm going to get to the festival by 9:45 or 10ish. I'll meet you all out front.

NARF, I have company in town that weekend but they might be busy that day visiting family. I might be a last min yes, so I will RSVP either way in a few weeks. In the meantime, don't count me in carpoolings.

Rargh. The one in Washington is waaaay too far away. I miss the AZ one. Particularly the bits where we could have people get called up on stage to participate...
