This Meetup group is for fans of indies, documentaries, and international films. We usually go to Burns Court Cinema which is run by the Sarasota Film Society, a non-profit. Burns Court shows the thought-provoking, beautiful, amusing, unusual, and non-adolescent films the mainstream cinemas are not interested in. The Burns Court Cinema is located in a cute neighborhood in the middle of Sarasota. Discussion after film. Goal is to see movie every other week.
Parking for Burns Court… I often look for street parking on Pineapple Ave or Dolphin St or Cross St. There is a free parking lot on the east side of Orange Ave. An employee at cinema mentioned Oak St or Selby Lane just southeast of Pineapple Ave.
Though most of the Internet is free, unfortunately Meetup.com is not and costs organizer $15/month. Please consider assisting w/ $5 yearly fee to help pay the Meetup.com cost. Thanks.
