The bike portion will head north from Crabby Bill's and will give riders a couple of options to increase the length and difficulty of the ride. Easiest ride of about 12 miles will be along Gulf Blvd to Sand Key Park, around the park and back. If riders want they can add up to 2 bridges along the ride. Option 1 turn right over the Belleair Causeway Bridge and either turn at boat ramp or go up the hill and turn at Panera Bread. Option 2 is to ride over Sand Key Bridge, continue straight at the bottom and then turn to head back into Sand Key Park. If you add both bridges and turn at Panera the ride will be approximately 20 miles. This is not a race pace group, expect the lead pack to be riding around 16 - 17 mph.
The run portion will head South from Crabby's anywhere from 3 to 5 miles. 5 miles would be turning round at the Indian Shores Coffee Shop just before Mahuffer's Bar. There is a water stop at the 2 mile mark. Alternative is to run on the beach.
We meet in the parking lot at Crabby Bill's at 8am, leaving for the bike ride around 8:10. Plan to be back from the bike ride by 9:20 to leave for the run at 9:30. You can cut either of these short and do as little or as much as you like and again we will wait for people to return before setting off on the next event. As usual, breakfast at Crabby's around 10:30 am.
