IFN Evansville #76: Josh Riedford
Please join us for IFN Evansville Hub's monthly meeting in the Browning Events Room at Central Library. Our guest, Josh Riedford (see his bio below) of Mr. Pictures will be joining us via Skype to talk about: Producing: why anyone can and should do it Marketing: why making a film is more than just making a film His experiences with "Bullitt County" (and all the things you don’t realize you need to know when making/selling a movie) As always, IFN meetings are free and open to the public; you do NOT have to be a member. Please join us, invite your friends, and help us spread the word! ABOUT JOSH: Josh Riedford is a Producer and Composer who began his filmmaking career as a student at the University of Evansville with longtime collaborator David McCracken. His first feature was the horror/thriller “Daylight”, which Riedford independently produced. Daylight premiered at London’s FrightFest in 2013 and went on to achieve successful widespread digital distribution. Most recently, Riedford produced the 1970s thriller feature film “Bullitt County” alongside McCracken under their production company, Mr. Pictures. Completed in October 2017, “Bullitt County” opened in select theaters nationwide in October 2018 and will be released on VOD/DVD in February 2019 through Gravitas Ventures. As a producer, Riedford is drawn to character-driven genre stories and employs the attitude not of “Can we do this?” but “How can we do this?”
