- Indie Hackers 5 - Catch up & Drinks
Hi all, Due to a bit of a venue mix up, this week we’re just going to have a catch up and some drinks in Trof. We’re on the first floor in the right hand corner of the room near the steps. Leave a message below if you have any questions.
- Indie Hackers 4 - "Traction" by Gabriel Weinberg & Justin Mares
This time we try to answer the question "how do I grow my customer base?" We'll be taking a look at the answers that Gabriel Weinberg (duckduckgo.com) gives in his book "Traction". Starting with a presentation of his method for finding the right marketing channel for your business, followed by quickly going through some of the 20 or so specific techniques he mentions and ending with the usual beers and chit chat. See you there!
- Indie Hackers 3 - Validating Product Ideas
The topic this time is validating product ideas! In other words, how can you try to answer the question "Is this a good business idea?" as quickly as possible. We'll talk about a few case studies and ideas as well as the normal chat and drinks. Let's do this!
- Indie Hackers Manchester 2 - Objectives and Key Results (OKR)
We’ll be on either the top or second floor of troff. Nathan is going to give us an introduction to OKR, a framework for defining and tracking objectives and their outcomes made famous by some of Silicon Valley's biggest companies.
- Introductions & "The Mom Test"
This is the inaugural meetup of Indie Hackers Manchester! We're looking forward to meeting you all. Schedule: - 6.30 Arrivals & introductions - 7.00 Discussion on "The Mom Test: How to talk to customers and learn if your business is a good idea when everyone is lying to you." - 8.00 Drinks & socialising. "The Mom Test" is a book about having valuable conversations with potential customers that don't just lead to them telling you what you want to hear. I'm going to present some of the ideas from the book for us to discuss and compare with our own experiences. I've booked out the top floor room of Trof, located at the front of the building. To find the staircase, go into the main ground floor bar and head towards the back of the room. Go up to the third floor and down the corridor to the right of the stairs.
