What we're about

Mission Statement From the Woman's March:

In the spirit of democracy, honoring the champions of human rights, dignity, and justice, we join in diversity to defend the most marginalized among us, protect our planet and its precious resources, with the main purpose of RESISTING the Trump agenda!

The rhetoric of the past election cycle has insulted, demonized, and threatened many of us - immigrants of all statuses, Muslims and those of diverse religious faiths, people who identify as LGBTQIA, Native people, Black and Brown people, people with disabilities, survivors of sexual assault - and our communities are hurting and scared. We are confronted with the question of how to move forward in the face of national and international concern and fear.

We support the advocacy and resistance movements that reflect our multiple and intersecting identities. We call on all defenders of human rights to join us. . . We work peacefully while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all.

The Woman's March was not just an event, it was a beginning...we have become INDIVSIBLE!

We are a local chapter of the Indivisible movement. We organize and advocate for peaceful, effective resistance at a local grassroots level following the strategy set forth in the indivisible guide.

This is a defensive approach focused on stopping Trump and the Republican administration from implementing an agenda built on corruption, racism, and authoritarianism. A local strategy targeting individual Members of Congress. We focus our energy on our sphere of influence, where our efforts can be effective. We recognize that this is a marathon, and we ask you to join us in creating the change we want to see.

This indivisible group includes the entire District 52 and 53 areas, our congressional representatives are Scott Peters and Susan Davis. Our Senators are Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris. We also support sister districts 49 and 50 in their efforts with their republican representatives Darryll Issa and Duncan Hunter.

This movement is sweeping the nation and making a difference! Please join us to discover ways that you can become active in the Indivisible Resistance.
