The Industrial Internet changes the game for industrial companies. Pushing machine data to the enterprise level allows businesses to leverage big data to optimize processes and asset performance. Apply predictive analytics to minimize unplanned downtime. Increase throughput, improve product quality and drive resource efficiency. The powerful outcomes—powered by the Industrial Internet—drive transformation.
The purpose of this meetup is to bring together experts from the Industrial Internet field to exchange ideas, challenges and success stories. We'll be discussing solutions and technologies related to this field.
Connected Things 2020, hosted by the MIT Enterprise Forum Cambridge will take place at the MIT Media Lab on Monday, March 23, 2020.
The conference will gather together corporate and startup leaders to uncover the opportunities and challenges at the intersection of Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
The value and potential of IoT and AI are undeniably linked. IoT has progressed far beyond simply connecting “things” to networks. Billions of connected sensors are now producing the vast amounts of data needed to train the machines and make AI better. Using AI in both enterprise and consumer IoT applications can further its utility by enhancing the ability to optimize and automate processes, perform predictive maintenance, save money, and create better customer experiences.
In the next 20 years, the combination of these powerful technologies will turn vast amounts of data into something useful, driving what we’re calling “Insight Driven Computing.” These insights can be used to make autonomous driving safe, allow consumer IoT devices to securely work together, and make smart cities smarter.
Although we hope to find a new date for an in-person Connected Things event sometime in Spring 2021; we’re continuing the conversation with our WFH Edition 2.0 right here!
