what made you decide to start (or get back into) cycling?

I missed riding, and Indy is really well set up for cyclists. All of the dedicated on road lanes, cycle tracks, and trails make getting around the city by bike easier than anywhere else I've lived. It also helped get my confidence back up to the point where I'm comfortable riding on roads now, something I hadn't done before (I know, rookie mistake).

where do you like to bike?

I live on the south side so I like the Pleasant Run trail and I ride the cycle track through Fountain Square often. I also like the Cultural Trail and hitting up the Monon too.

road bike or mountain bike?

Dual sport: I ride a Raleigh Misceo 0.0. I grew up riding BMX and mountain bikes and like the flat handlebars and riding position they have. The skinnier, lower-rollling resistance 700C wheels and tires on this bike make it easier to ride faster and over distances so it's the perfect compromise for me.

would you be interested in out-of-town and/or overnight rides?

Maybe. At this point (Summer 2012) I've never rode more than 20 miles on one trip.

how fast and far?

I generally keep a pace between 12-15 mph and am comfortable riding 20 miles. Given more time riding I can probably handle more, though.

Introduction

I transplanted to Indy in 2011 and took cycling back up for the fun of it. Aside from cycling I like riding my motor scooter, electronic dance music, DJ-ing, video games, internet culture, craft beer, cooking, and ethnic foods.
