Change is essential for survival. However, it is reported that 70 per cent of change initiatives fail. Organisations are becoming more complex and changing at an unprecedented rate, driven by globalisation, political uncertainty, advancing technologies and economic pressures. This study investigates the extent to which Library and Information Professionals actively manage change, which methods they use, and what their attitudes are towards the discipline of Change Management. A mixed-methods research approach was employed comprising of desk research, 108 questionnaires and 10 semi-structured interviews.
