You are invited every Friday at 6:30 for an hour and a half of relaxation, balancing and inner peace through the practice of qigong. Qigong is an ancient art of healing and spiritual development, the prequel of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Spiritual Development practiced in the countries of Orient. Qigong translates as qi – energy, gong – movement, thus energy movement. During one hour of meditation we “move” our “energies” to unwind, ground, and recharge.
All are welcome. We begin our session with a short discussion of different types of qigong meditation, simple and effective for beginners as well as seasoned meditators. Our meditation is very informal and you can choose your own place in the room, your position and the type of meditation you enjoy. All we ask is to be respectful to each other, relax and enjoy. To finish up the meditation we share any knowledge or experience related to the moment over the cup of warm tea.
What to wear or bring:
Wear your most comfortable clothes. We have blankets, thick yoga mats, and regular or reclining chairs. If you need anything special like cushions or foam blocks please bring it with you. Please be mindful to others and wear no perfume.
There is no fee, but we are asking for $5 donation to cover heat and air conditioning, lights and cleaning services. All gifts are much appreciated.
