What are your expectations from the group?

I expect an intergenerational mix of minds, new friends, stimulating conversation, exploring local places -- overall good company.

Tell us something about yourself.

I have two grown sons living in Brighton & Watertown and lots of friends still in the Cambridge/Somerville area. I left the area to take a job in Littleton, MA as personal assistant for a Tibetan Buddhist lama and I fell in love with Littleton. After that job, I worked professionally as a writer for 15 years and am now trying to figure out how to retire! Some of my favorite places (like Davis Square) have me frequently trekking back to the Cambridge/Boston area. I'm contemplating auditing classes at Harvard (where I once worked and also went to grad school). I've developed an interest in Humanism, mindfulness, and wisdom/transcendence sciences (don't ask me what that means).

We are constantly looking for ideas for discussion topics. Do you have any suggestions?

Yes, but later...

What type of events/activities you will be interested in?

Food, movies, museums, neighborhood explorations, philosophical discussions, knowledge-sharing, day trips

Introduction

I'm a newly semi-retired baby boomer intellectual philosopher writer who lived in and around Somerville for 25 years before migrating to Littleton. I like coming back in to town to visit with friends & to haunt the old haunts.
