ICA tonight and Sen. Kennedy's procession

This message is for those of you who are planning to drive to the ICA this evening:

The campus of UMass Boston is being closed at noon today for Sen. Kennedy's procession/viewing at the JFK Museum (located on our campus). Campus officials are anticipating huge crowds into the evening and all day tomorrow.

I bring this up only to say that it would behoove everyone to consider taking the T to the ICA this evening rather than driving. Traffic may be quite unpredictable even in the early evening. I understand that the motorcade is supposed to leave Hyannisport at about 2pm, so if you figure it'll take about an hour for them to get to the Boston area, then snake their way through the city, the procession will probably arrive at the JFK Museum no earlier than 4-4:30pm. Route 93N & S is going to be a big traffic issue the rest of the evening.

Cheers! ... anor ... cool
