Ok guys, it feels like it's been a while since we did a Tube Mission! The central line is London's bearing heart, a main artery if you will. It's far too long to realistically do it all, so my plan is to meet in the middle, ride as far west as we can, then start hopping on and off back east until we get bored/hungry/thirsty/need wifi.
The main reason I want to go west, is that at Greenford station is the last remaining wooden escalator in service, and it's due to be removed very soon. I will try to find out if it's still in place or not before this plan is ironed out fully. Right so the new amended plan is to meet at London Marylebone Station and take a train to West Ruislip where we will change and begin our exploration of the central line. There are trains at 10:16 and 10:39 so please aim to be there for no later than 10:10! (Tickets are £6.80 single)
Once on the central line at West Ruislip we will hop on and off at each station and take pictures of each station we come across. We'll keep going till we get hungry/thirsty etc and find a pub to rest and recharge in somewhere in central london. As usual, I'll do my best to try and provide some interesting facts about the stations we pass through!
