Interesting Readings - March

Interesting Readings: a book club for the best in sci-fi, from quirky classics to fresh indie! Monthly meetings are held in the West Chester area.

Our March book will be Stephen King's THE SHINING - followed by the new sequel DOCTOR SLEEP for the Fantasy meetup.

From Amazon.com: Jack Torrance’s new job at the Overlook Hotel is the perfect chance for a fresh start. As the off-season caretaker at the atmospheric old hotel, he’ll have plenty of time to spend reconnecting with his family and working on his writing. But as the harsh winter weather sets in, the idyllic location feels ever more remote . . . and more sinister. And the only one to notice the strange and terrible forces gathering around the Overlook is Danny Torrance, a uniquely gifted five-year-old.

Great discussion of the book. Ideas I had never considered.

Nice to be back! Our 5 month old has soaked up all my time up until now. Finally get to "get my read on" again.

This is the first time I've been able to get back to a meeting since I broke my ankle in January. I will be the happy happy woman hobbling in!

I have to cancel since I will be out of town when we next meet. Too bad since the book had given me a very different view of the story that I had formed. Have to see everyone next month.

I'm a solid maybe. If I'm drugged to the point of being dangerous on the road, then I'll see you guys in two weeks...
