“The A to Z for First Time Buyers” by Lina Bourdon

Calling all First Time Buyers!

Are you planning to get on the property ladder? Do you think you might never get there based on the current property market? Do you have a property already and plan to move soon?

As you know we ran a successful Experts Panel event a few weeks ago which was dedicated to buying a property in London. During the event we found  that people had more questions than we could answer in the time available. We have listened to your feedback and have put together a workshop “The A to Z for First Time Buyers”.

During the workshop you will

-  Learn what’s involved in buying a property

-  Discover what lenders take into account when making their decision about lending money

-  Find out what affects a lender’s decision

-  Get a step by step plan of what exactly you need to do before applying for a mortgage

-  Understand how to ensure you can afford your mortgage and never get behind with the monthly payments

-  Learn how to calculate the real cost of buying a property

-  Be aware of the hidden costs of being a homeowner

-  Find out what is happening with the property market at the moment

-  Understand the pitfalls to watch out for when buying a property

-  Learn what is involved in the process of buying a property

-  Find out how can you budget in such a way that you always have money left at the end of the month

-  Get information about different government schemes available for home buyers and learn how they work

AND

-  Get guides, links to useful websites, calculators, spread sheets and much, much more – invaluable information which will help you on your way to buy a property.

Our Expert:

Lina Bourdon, MD of City & Country Financial Services

“I joined the Financial Services industry in 2006 and saw it through both the good and bad times. Throughout my work as a Financial Professional I have met, spoken and provided my services to hundreds of clients which has led me to discover something very interesting and powerful about people and their finances:
People don’t actually have financial goals and objectives - they have life plans and dreams which require financial solutions so those plans and dreams can be achieved.

At City & Country Financial Services we believe that our job is to learn and to discover our clients` goals, plans and inspirations and help them make their dreams come true using Financial Planning tools, solutions and strategies. When selecting a mortgage there are many things to consider. For example, the three-year fixed deal you saw advertised may have an attractive rate, but if the upfront fees are too high it could prove comparatively expensive over the term of the mortgage.

And cost isn’t the only consideration. Flexibility matters too if your income is irregular or if you may need to move in the near future

Of course there’s plenty of information out there, but not all of it is reliable and not much of it will relate to your specific circumstances

As whole of market mortgage advisers, we explain how each loan relates to our clients` particular needs and preferences. We’ll then search the whole marketplace for a deal that best matches their situation and needs. We work closely with all parties involved – from estate agents and valuers to solicitors and lenders – to make sure that everything goes smoothly and as hassle free as a home buying process can be!”

Buying a house, especially for the first time, is the biggest and most important purchase that one can make. Having the right advise and knowledge non only can save lots of money, but can also save you a lot of problems. Thank again Lina, your seminar was definitely worth much much more then what I paid.
