UPDATE! The Tuscany Walking Tour is now full with 12 Meetup members signed up! However, there is a waiting list and a chance that spaces may open up. To be put on the waiting list you need to call and leave a $300 fully refundable deposit. As soon as someone cancels, you will be in. With a total of 30 travelers, there is a good chance someone will cancel..hopefully from the other group!! Check website for details and call to enroll. [masked]http://annroy.grouptoursite.com

Andiamo!

The group has decided!! We will be going to Italy in April 2014!! April is the perfect time to travel to Italy, especially for walkers! It's not yet high tourist season, prices are lower, and the weather will be comfortable. We will depart Boston April 17, 2014 and be gone for 11-14 days depending on whether you choose to do the Rome extension.

Here is the website where you can look over the itinerary. Be sure to look at the slide show, the videos and also click on the drop down menu next to each day to see the events of each day. Enrollment may be done online or by phone. You will save about $300 if you have a room mate, but if you don't have one yet, they will enroll you as a single and the adjustment will be made as soon as you have one. It is a flexible payment plan..after the $300 deposit, payments may be made as often as you want. Full payment is due 70 days before departure. (I also recommend trip insurance)

Includes Montecatini, Siena, Volterra, Cortona, Val d'Orica Region, Florence, Chianti and more. $3,477. (extension: 2 extra nights in Rome for $359 more)
The price quoted above is based on double occupancy and I figured in 2 optional excursions so you'd get a good ball-park idea, but your cost will vary (less or more) depending on what you choose for optionals. All flights, transportation, accommodations, breakfasts, some other meals and admission fees to scheduled itinerary sites included.

Walking tours involve about 1-1.5 hours of walking per day...I don't think anyone who has come to any of our Meetups would have a problem with the pace. And if someone doesn't want to walk that day, there is plenty for them to do and see in town.

This is going to be an awesome trip!!I hope you can join us!
