Please join me for a delicious Cuban lunch at Havana Grill this Sunday. We'll dine on authentic Cuban food as we discuss how to solve the problems of the world. Depending on your point of view, you can mourn or celebrate the recent passing of Fidel Castro. :-)
Havana Grill is a new restaurant located in a strip mall in Clairemont. Don't let the ordinary location fool you, however, because this restaurant is extraordinary. It's very beautiful, hip, and artfully decorated inside. Customer service is excellent. And the vibe makes me feel as if I'm in Miami. Joo know what I mean, maing?
Havana Grill features traditional Cuban specialties such as lechon, Cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja, arroz con pollo, oxtail, and others. Plates come with white or brown rice, plantains, and black beans. Salads and soups are also available. Additionally, the restaurant also offers Cuban coffees; alcoholic drinks such as mojitos, beer, and sangria; and awesome desserts such as coconut flan. I've tried several menu items and have never been disappointed. The food is made with great care and is superb!
Please order at the counter. You will be assigned a number and a staff member will bring your food to the table.
Here are the Yelp page and web page for Havana Grill. You can peruse the menu on the restaurant's web page. Note the 4.5 star rating on Yelp.
I think our members will enjoy this restaurant. If you're interested, please RSVP. See you there on Sunday, December 4th!
