Beacons, Buildings and the Internet of Things

Join us Tuesday March 25 at Capital One Labs in Clarendon for the next installment of Internet of Things DC. Come out and network, see friends and colleagues, enjoy food and refreshments provided by Capital One Labs, and learn more about the technology, business and data of the Internet of Things.

Tonight's meetup will feature IoT highlights from SXSW and talks from three DC area companies working on Internet of Things products and applications:

Navin Ganeshan, VP Products @ Zubie, will give us his highlights and observations on Internet of Things trends and technologies at SXSW.

Lee Odess - General Manager @ Brivo Labs

Welcome to Social Spaces: The Era of Social Access Management

The way people interact with buildings is changing. Brivo Labs bridges virtual communities with physical spaces to enhance everyday experiences. Learn about the four key behaviors that are important for social spaces and how their SAM API enables everyone to participate in Social Access Management. Lee will discuss the Brivo Labs journey from ideation to development of actual products and services that bring the Internet of Things to life.

David Helms - VP Business Development @ Radius Networks

Radius Networks creates new and innovative ways to use wireless device signals for proximity and presence detection. Radius Networks’ cloud-based proximity services and products are used by mobile developers, major retailers, restaurant chains, sports complexes and other companies to drive innovative customer engagement and experience. They provided the iBeacon technology for the iBeacon Scavenger Hunt at the recent 2014 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, where the Internet of Things was a hot topic.

Alex Niderberg - iOS Application Developer @ Capital One Labs

Capital One Labs is building Internet of Things applications to find new ways of engaging customers and collaborators in the financial services sector.

Great event! I am currently launching a start-up leveraging iBeacons. We are desperately in need of a co-founder/developer. If interested or know someone who is, please let me know!

This really peaked my interest in the possibilities of IoT. The scavenger hunt by Radius Networks was genius.
