Learn how Call for Code 2018 Winners "Project Owl" used an IoT Mesh Network to take home $200K USD ! Take the mystery out of IoT Mesh Networking. Come learn how to set up a mesh network over WiFi using Raspberry Pis. Then use the mesh network to connect sensors to the Internet and IBM Watson IoT Platform. Easily extend your home network range to allow other devices that are not part of the mesh network to connect to the Internet by using the mesh network. Join us at 6 pm for a 6:30 pm start. We'll have two talks tonight, the first on the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and why it's easy to build IoT/hardware products now. It will cover what things have not changed in the process of building hardware, manufacturing in China and the cycle of product development and manufacturing processes. The second talk will be about an esp8266 connected water meter.

Tonight we'll have two talks the first being myself talking about a new high throughput / real time IoT database open source project from China which can handle millions of requests/second/node. The second is PatCat on using Dialogflow to build conversational interfaces — it allows people to speak to your app/bot/device to ask for things rather than the traditional point and click of old. PatCat has an early access course on how to get started and is going to show us how it all works.
