Please tell us about your interest in spaceflight

Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of my favourite public scientists and since I was a small boy, I was wondering about the miracles of the universe. I don't have any proper education regarding astronomy or cosmology but want to deepen my knowledge. Currently, I'm using the telescope we have at Google to make my first steps into stargazing.

Please tell us one interesting personal fact about yourself

I read quite a lot and am constantly buying more books than I can read which leads to the natural consequence that I have read a third of each book before I get absorbed into another topic. One of my weird habits when it comes to books is to buy at least one book from every place I have visited, if necessary in the local language. Thus, I once bought Oscar Wilde's "Picture of Dorian Gray" in Turkish when I went for a trip to Istanbul.

I am 27, German, a tech geek, a social scientist and I care about the Internet. I have worked at the European Commission writing Internet Policy and currently, I'm working at Google which gives me a lot of time to pursue various nerdy interests.
