April 2013 - Wool Part 1 by Hugh Howley

From Amazon - In a ruined and toxic landscape, a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Sheriff Holston, who has unwaveringly upheld the silo’s rules for years, unexpectedly breaks the greatest taboo of all: He asks to go outside.

His fateful decision unleashes a drastic series of events. An unlikely candidate is appointed to replace him: Juliette, a mechanic with no training in law, whose special knack is fixing machines. Now Juliette is about to be entrusted with fixing her silo, and she will soon learn just how badly her world is broken. The silo is about to confront what its history has only hinted about and its inhabitants have never dared to whisper. Uprising.

We will be reading only the first part of the Silo Series. It is currently about $9 on amazon in paperback format. The kindle version is $5.99 but includes all 5 parts of the whole series. The plan is to focus on the first but feel free to read on if you have time and we can discuss it.

The plan is to meet in the San Pedro Square Market. We may either initially meet outside or in the bar. Details to come later!

I can't find the garage bar. Can you give one more location?

Hey, realize this question might not get answered so close before the meet up, but what's the name of the bar? More specifically do they let underage people in, as I'm only twenty? Thanks in advance, otherwise I'll just show up and hope for the best. : )

Hey Gavin, we'll most likely be meeting outside the market first and then heading to a tabled place in the market where we can have our meeting. I'm heading there early to find us a location so I will make sure that there are no restrictions. Thanks for letting me know!

Does anyone know where the first part ends? I bought the paperback copy, and I can't figure it out.

The Kindle part 1 is 49 pages long, and the last line is, "What would they see, anyone who had chosen to watch?" Does that help?

      Yes! Thank you!

The Kindle version of Part 1 alone is actually free on Amazon right now, and you can read it on your computer or whatever even if you don't have a Kindle. Pretty awesome!
