Nordic Pole Walking activates 90% of the body's muscles, burns up to 46% more calories than regular walking, increases aerobic effect by up to 25% compared to regular walking, decreases load and strain on the lower body by 30%, tones and strengthens upper arms, shoulders and back muscles, improves lateral mobility of the spine, develops core stability and strength and promotes an upright posture. It is cheap, efficient and immediately available to you at any time.

Nordic Pole Walking is not easy but, with some training, you will all be ready to head out to some interesting venues, maintain your achieved fitness levels and explore Atlanta places you never thought to walk. It can be done solo but learning as a group has advantages. Walking is a sport that rewards constancy and there's little like a group to inspire you to that.

Normal walking, even with a fast pace and good stride, only uses approximately 70% of the muscle mass in the body at any given time. Put some Nordic Walking poles in your hands, and with the proper technique, you will now be utilizing up to 90% of your body’s muscle while increasing your heart rate significantly.

By using the Nordic walking poles, you increase your heart rate on average 10-15% more than normal walking. This means you can burn well over 400 calories per hour, much more than normal walking, which only burns approximately 280.
