What we're about

Do you wish you could have deep and meaningful conversation that is still fun? Then this is the group for you!

The group will explore the hows and whys of life, our fears, hopes and dreams. The focus is about real feelings and meaning.

Example discussion topics include "The Purpose to Life", “Living in the Moment“, “The Missing Piece“ and “Sleep, Dreams and Insomnia” and “Love and Relationships”.

We have explored life's deepest questions with a Catholic priest and a Buddhist monk and plan on meeting with Hindu and Native American religious leaders (and other religions too).

Learning about ourselves and others is another interesting component. Some of the things we have covered include the Enneagram of Personality, Myers-Briggs, Reiki, Hypnosis and Eckhart Tolle. We are fortunate to have great teachers such as Herb, Julia and Glen.

We will also explore other things that have great meaning such as art and nature.

Introduction to Yoga
Needs a date and time

Needs a location

Novices are encouraged to come learn the basics of yoga and those who are experienced are welcome to join us and share their expertise. The cost would be $10 which would go to our professional instructor (if there is enough interest I might get the price reduced to free in exchange for promoting the yoga center). It will most likely be held during an evening in March and near Dedham. Suggestions for the day and time are strongly encouraged. In the meantime, please RSVP Yes if you are interested!

Psychology Night
Needs a date and time

Needs a location

Three fascinating topics will be covered by members of the group who have studied psychology. Our first speaker will be presenting the positive effects of music in psychology. She is doing this presentation in her class and would like to do a “dress rehearsal” for us before doing it for credit at school. This presentation will be about a half hour. The next speaker is a professional psychologist who will discuss self acceptance. Finally, another member will give a brief overview/introduction about Carl Jung. In between speakers and after the event we are encouraged to discuss the topics and also socialize and have fun! We will most likely have this event during an evening in late March. Suggestions for the day, time and location are strongly encouraged. In the meantime, please RSVP Yes if you are interested!

Exploring Life's Deepest Questions With A .....
Needs a date and time

Needs a location

In the past we have had intriguing discussions with a Catholic priest and a Buddhist monk where we asked questions regarding faith, religion, purpose to life, what happens to us after we die, love, sex, and the missing piece. We would like to continue this fascinating dialogue with leaders of other religions. There has been interest in learning more about what Hindus and different Native Americas belief in. Just as importantly, we would like to learn about a faith you would like to examine. Your suggestions and help in connecting us with religious leaders is greatly appreciated! This is only a suggested Meetup until we have a religious leader and a time and place to meet!
