STEP INTO YOURSELF
Shamanic Yoga is a truly unique combination of shamanic practices, Taoist and Indian yoga techniques, five element acupuncture theory, qigong, and neuroplasticity exercises that will help you ground your body, mind, and soul, allowing you to achieve a positive and lasting personal transformation.
Through the use of Shamanic Yoga tools and techniques, you will be able to move past emotional, mental, physical and spiritual blocks in your life, and learn to live in harmony within yourself and your environment. A shamanic yoga practitioner is able to overcome many negative habits, heal emotional wounds and traumatic life events, and authentically live their life with joy and integrity.
THE PATH OF STARS
Many people believe that yoga has to be hard, and requires sweat, discipline, and focus. Star Yoga is a path of shamanic yoga that is inspired by children at play. It is light, energetic, and fun. It can be physically challenging, but it is also accessible to those with chronic injuries or illnesses, or mature adults.
It involves stretching, strength training, cardio, meditation, clearing out physical and energetic blocks, balancing your energy, and helping you reconnect with your true soul self.
There are no complicated postures to learn, or boring sequences repeated over and over. Every class is different. And that is because you are not just observing and following along, you are participating. Shamanic yoga is dynamic and filled with spirit. And every individual brings something different to every class.
PLEASE DON'T BE LATE! Please arrive on time (or early). We will be in the basement level in suite L106. Once the class has started and the container created (around 7:10 pm), a sign will be posted on the door and no additional students will be allowed to enter. If you arrive after the sign is posted, you’ll have to wait till the next class to participate.
IMPORTANT: Please bring a journal and something to write with, as well as a bottle of water.
OPTIONAL: A yoga mat, a blanket and a pillow may also be helpful, but are not required, and may not be used in every class.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
Every Star Yoga class is free. It has already been paid for. At the end of every class, students are offered the opportunity to "pay it forward." If you feel you received a benefit from the class, and want to share it with others, your financial contributions help pay for other classes. You are paying for a stranger's class, and a stranger already paid for yours. Classes have already been paid for a few weeks out. But if contributions don't remain steady, future classes may be canceled.
