What we're about

Dominant Intuitives include these 4 types: ENFP, ENTP, INTJ, and INFJ.

Dominant Intuitives are stimulated by meaning, depth, creativity, big picture, underlying structure, imagination, and context.
They tend to pay more attention to the invisible world of imagination and concepts than the visible world of the senses.

Some of us are more extroverted, some more introverted.
Some of us prefer thinking, some feeling.
Some of us prefer a spontaneous lifestyle, some more structure.
But we all prefer to soar with our imagination rather than walk the ground with our senses.

This is a social group for dominant intuitives to connect and spend magical time together.

Mostly we'll meet for lunch or dinner and share big picture perspectives about current interests, which means anything that's stimulating our creative juices, with friends who easily "get it/us" and contribute their creative ideas/enthusiasm.

This is not meant to be a group devoted to MBTI discussions, although we can discuss type/temperament when we choose.

We've all felt the frustration of not being clearly heard - this group offers relief by speaking your language.

Enjoy stimulating imaginative conversation and connection with fellow dominant intuitives. Before Covid-19 our format was casual. Participation varied and about a third of those who reserved a seat at the table did not show up. We didn’t have many group discussions until the crowd thinned. Instead, we usually had several small group discussions and we freely moved around the table if we wanted to talk with someone not sitting close to us. We had occasional guests who were not dominant intuitives, who visited to observe and check us out. It was all good and fun. Due to Covid-19, we are meeting on Zoom instead of in-person and the previous format isn’t working as well as before. Thus, until we begin meeting in person again, we’ll make some changes to accommodate the Zoom format. On Zoom, we don’t have breakout rooms for private conversations. We’re all in a single room which necessitates a single conversation. This puts a limit on how many of us can effectively carry on a single conversation. Therefore, it makes sense to put a cap on how many seats can be reserved. At the last meeting, I thought to try a maximum of 12 seats to see how that worked. The seats were reserved fairly quickly. On the morning of the meeting all 12 seats were reserved and we had a waitlist of people who wanted to join us. Of the 12 who reserved a seat, only 4 of us showed up. 8 people out of 12 didn’t show up. A few of those gave up their reserved seat on the day of the meeting, but this was too late to include those on the waitlist. The 4 who did show up had a great single discussion, but it was clear that the old relaxed and casual format wasn’t going to work for us on Zoom. Thus, while we are meeting on Zoom, there are some changes to our format that will better facilitate fun satisfying luncheons. 1. Instead of anyone being able to RSVP and bring a guest (plus 1) while meeting on Zoom, the guest option will be inactivated. If you want your guest to join us, ask them to sign onto Meetup and they can make their own reservations. 2. Instead of anyone (meaning non-dominant intuitives) coming as our guests, we will limit participation to dominant intuitives only. Sorry :[ 3. Instead of unlimited participants, we’ll try a cap of 8, but not with those who reserve a seat and don’t show. Also, at the last meeting, what was especially fun was that each of our 4 types (ENFP, ENTP, INTJ, and INFJ) was present so we heard from all points of view. I hope we can continue this practice. So, for the next meeting,we'll start over. The meeting will show as “Event is closed for RSVPs.” If you’d like to join us, write me a note stating you are committing to show up. I’ll do my best to balance the attendance with 2 each of all 4 of our sub-types for a total of 8. Anyone who commits to showing up and doesn’t won't be invited back – sorry but it’s not kind to hold a seat hostage and then not show up. Gui
