What we're about

Dominant Intuitives include these 4 types: ENFP, ENTP, INTJ, and INFJ.

Dominant Intuitives are stimulated by meaning, depth, creativity, big picture, underlying structure, imagination, and context.
They tend to pay more attention to the invisible world of imagination and concepts than the visible world of the senses.

Some of us are more extroverted, some more introverted.
Some of us prefer thinking, some feeling.
Some of us prefer a spontaneous lifestyle, some more structure.
But we all prefer to soar with our imagination rather than walk the ground with our senses.

This is a social group for dominant intuitives to connect and spend magical time together.

Mostly we'll meet for lunch or dinner and share big picture perspectives about current interests, which means anything that's stimulating our creative juices, with friends who easily "get it/us" and contribute their creative ideas/enthusiasm.

This is not meant to be a group devoted to MBTI discussions, although we can discuss type/temperament when we choose.

We've all felt the frustration of not being clearly heard - this group offers relief by speaking your language.

Lunch @ SOCIAL-Huntington Beach

SOCIAL Huntington Beach

Our goal is to create an environment supporting stimulating, imaginative conversation and connection with fellow dominant intuitives whose native language is "N."

Dominant "N" includes ENFP, ENTP, INTJ, and INFJ - only.

[This is not a random group, so if you are not familiar with MBTI preferences, please visit https://www.16personalities.com/ to begin your learning journey. Warning: the test results are not guaranteed to be reliable.]

Our topics are broad. It's the depth of conversation we hunger for, so subject matter isn't a concern. Laughter is an important ingredient in our discussions.

We'll meet outdoors for lunch and drinks in the breezy patio area.

People reserving a seat and not showing up has become an issue between the restaurants and our group's ability to make reliable reservations.

Thus, due to people abusing the RSVP process we now have zero tolerance for those who reserve a seat and ignore their commitment. "No shows" will be deleted from our membership so respectfully update your RSVP when your plans change.

Tannhäuser - An Opera by R. Wagner

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

LA Opera is back and we can now purchase individual seats.

A Sunday afternoon performance seems most accessible given our commute.
Tannhäuser begins @ 2 pm and plays for four hours with a single intermission.
We can decide whether to meet for lunch before the performance in order to head home at 6 pm, or meet for dinner after the performance so we can share our reactions - or some of each - or even both.
We'll make options available.
Note that this is Halloween in case you plan to do "trick or treating."
Also, note that this is WAGNER.

The price range is $23 to $292 per ticket.
We'll each purchase our own ticket, and if we coordinate we can plan to sit with others in our group in the same price range.

Note that musically, there are no bad seats in the Dorthy Chander Pavillion, but visually, the closer to the stage, the more mesmerizing the performance will be.

Let's open a discussion on this page to share information.
Post your responses to these 4 questions if you are interested in joining in.
1) State that you are interested in attending.
2) State the price range of the ticket you are considering.
3) Indicate if you are more interested in lunch, dinner, neither, or both.
4) State if you are interested in carpooling, and if you prefer to drive or chip in $.

You can view the seats available and their price on the LA Opera page.https://tickets.laopera.org/syos/performance/5711

If you're interested, please respond by noon, Tuesday, July 20, so we can organize and purchase tickets.

After 12 pm on July 20th, those who responded will group themselves according to price range and coordinate buying seats next to each other.

James Conlon conducts the fabulous LA Opera Orchestra in one of Wagner’s most popular and romantic works. The fast-rising and incredible heldentenor (German for "heroic tenor") Issachah Savage stars as Tannhäuser, bringing his rare, beautiful voice to one of the most challenging roles in opera. Another highlight will be the LA Opera Chorus performing the "Pilgrim's Chorus," a piece made popular by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Abandoning an erotic entrapment with the goddess Venus, Tannhäuser returns to Earth to pursue a new path of virtue, inspired by the love of an innocent young woman. But in a momentary lapse, he shocks the town with a passionate affirmation of carnal delights. Only a miracle can redeem his soul…but will it come in time to save him?

“Conlon has fully assumed the mantle of the most accomplished music director currently on the podium of an American opera house.”
