The Invisible Disabilities Association (IDA) is a non-profit organization that encourages, educates and connects people and organizations touched by illness, pain and disabilities. We are based in Colorado, but have been reaching out around the world since 1997.
IDA creates awareness and support through our websites, pamphlets, booklets, radio interviews, videos, seminars, events, resources and social network.
Every October, we offer an exciting Honor Awards Banquet, where several individuals and organizations are recognized for the work they are doing for people living with a challenging condition. This is a thrilling night of inspiration, hope and understanding. It includes a presentation by a dynamic speaker, a delicious dinner and of course, auction items.
Whether you are someone living with illness and pain, you know someone, you are a business person or a medical professional, you will walk away with a new perspective and joy for life.
Do you run a health organization yourself? We would love to meet you and work together to make an amazing difference in the lives of millions!
We are not legal or medical professional service; therefore, we do not promote or endorse specific therapies or products. If you own a commercial or medical business, please consider being an IDA Sponsor.
Meetup Hosts are volunteers who desire to help bring people together. Hosts are not employees of IDA nor are they trained counselors or doctors. IDA cannot be held responsible for the actions of the volunteer Hosts, members, attendees nor possible health related discussions. Any medical concerns, tips or conversations discussed at Meetups are not to be considered medical advice. All attendees participate at their own risk and are responsible for their own actions. All personal disputes must be addressed with parties involved in private. If there is a serious issue with a Host or IDA Meetup member, please let us know.
