I know it doesn’t sound terribly exciting, but I promise wine and great conversation will be available!
I did this with friends before I moved. We were coming home from work, too tired to make real food, and would order expensive unhealthy take out. Having the frozen meals allowed for a real dinner fast, and on budget.
Below is a list of meals we will make – chosen by It Girls that responded on Facebook
-Ravioli lasagna -Cajun Shrimp Pepper Fettuccine
-Ranch Chicken Chili -Asian Flank Steak
-Slow Cooker Pot Roast -Honey Balsamic Chicken Drumstick
-Chipotle Lime Fajitas -Hearty Italian Meatloaf w/ Marinara
How it works: We split the cost of any ingredients that can be shared, marinades, sauces, spices, eggs, ect. You only have to shop for items that are not shared- proteins, vegies. When you reserve your space I will send you details on what you will need to bring, grocery list, and a few easy pre prep steps. Reserve your space: I will be purchases all the shared ingredients before the meet up. Since I am going to be buying a lot, I am asking for $30 to reserve your space. I won’t know the real amount until after I have finished shopping. I hope to give a few dollar back, and not need to ask for a few dollars more. I have room for 10 “chefs”. Once 10 members have paid, I will close the meet up. Here is the list of all ingredients shared and not shared-http://tinyurl.com/it-meals.
If this list seems overwhelming on you budget/freezer space, or if you don't like a meal- don’t make everything. We won’t work on the same meal at the same time. You won’t feel left out, or miss out on anything you if skip some. Just let me know which ones you aren't making, so I do not charge /buy you those shared items. Also feel free to customize the recipes, Don't like shrimp? Cut up chicken. I don't like beans, so I will be using zucchini in my chili. Please feel free to ask me any questions
