Let's enjoy Japanese Sukiyaki (Hot Pot)!

*Tasty menu: In Japan and other Asian countries, hot pot (鍋/nabe) is a popular winter dish. In Chinese, this cuisine is called huo guo (火鍋), which literally means "fire pot". With this style of cooking, a large pot of tasty soup broth is boiled in the center of the table. Dinner guests add fresh meat, seafood and vegetables to the pot and take them out to eat when they are finished. The dish is made by the group and is an especially social style of Asian cuisine.

Sukiyaki (すき焼き) is the most popular style of hot pot in Japan. The word sukiyaki literally means "hanging out pot" because everyone hangs out and cooks it together. With sukiyaki, beef, tofu, Japanese mushrooms and other vegetables are added to a tasty soup broth seasoned with soy sauce, Japanese cooking wine, sugar, etc.

At this event, after doing basic preparations such as preparing the soup broth and cutting the meat and vegetables in the kitchen, we'll make the sukiyaki Japanese style in a hot pot on the table and enjoy a hot pot lunch with wine, beer and soft drinks.

Here is an interesting video showing how to make sukiyaki:

And, here is a funny video of a Japanese video game in which players cook famous Japanese dishes, such as sukiyaki:

After this event, you will know how to make sukiyaki and can have a Japanese hot pot party with your friends!

Cost: €12

If you need to cancel: Please do so as soon as possible so someone else can come. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start of the event or "no show" you must pay the cost of the event. At that point, I have already purchased the ingredients.
