Designing for Ecommerce during a Pandemic

Online event

Hello everyone! Hope Phase 2 is treating you well as we enjoy our social gatherings. Fortunately (or not), large scale events like meetups are still not allowed but this also gives us the opportunity to run events without all the logistics and venue preparations. With the ongoing pandemic situation and many people staying at home, Ecommerce transactions has grown tremendously over the last 6 months. This exponential growth doesn't stop at just people buying things online but also people setting up their own online shop and started selling online. For many of the brick and mortar shops, they are also taking this opportunity to go digital when their retail storefronts are shut. Shopify needs no introduction, as one of the most popular platform for merchants when they decide to setup their online storefront. This month, we're excited to invite Aditi Kulkani, UX Manager, International Growth at Shopify to share with us how her team is coping with the Ecommerce growth in APAC and talk about some of the Shopify's UX culture and rituals to keep the team sane. Aditi Kulkarni is a seasoned design leader, having built products and teams at Postman, ReferralCandy, Indeed, and now Shopify. She’s a fan of collaborative product design that balances both qualitative and quantitative data. Read more about her at https://www.aditikulkarni.com.
