Hey everyone! It's been awhile since we had an intimate conversation :)
This month is special as a friend of ours, Jian Wei who flew all the way back from San Francisco to share about his experience working in overseas at Zendesk's Headquarters. (Well he didn't just flew back for this of course but since he's back, why not!).
Jian Wei is a Senior Product Designer at Zendesk, leading the agent experience for the Support Product. He moved to San Francisco in October 2016 from the Singapore office.
Jian Wei holds a Diploma in Digital Media, major in Interaction Design from Nanyang Polytechnic. He withdrew from Nanyang Technological University in his first year to pursue a full time position at Zopim, which was acquired by Zendesk in 2014.
This session will be interesting for those who are curious about what it's like working overseas and in a global design position, differences in culture, work habits and how it all matters as a designer.
Agenda for the evening
7 - 7:30pm Registration, networking, refreshments
7:30 - 8:30pm Conversation with Jian Wei
8:30 - 9pm: Questions, networking
We're hoping to keep the session really informal and casual where it is more conversational centric so bring along some of your burning questions to the session. The value of the meetup is as good as the questions asked :)
Also, if you would like to ask the question privately, please email me at [masked] and I'll ask them on your behalf :) Alternatively, you may like to tweet us the questions to @IxDASG (http://www.twitter.com/ixdasg) and we can have that answered!
As we have very limited space, please only RSVP if you can make it so that others can confirm their attendance. See you there!
P.s: if you'd like to sponsor some food, drinks for the meetup, let me know!
