It's crazy isn't it? The year is about to end and we're just left with 64 days to confetti popping.
As we are making plans for holidays and taking a break off work, fellow IxDA colleague, Boon Yew (Boon) is having holidays earlier and will be travelling from London to Singapore / KL.
We took this opportunity to invite him to share with us about his designer's journey, life working in London as a Malaysian, and how books and reading have influenced and shaped him as a designer, supporting his work with complex problem spaces.
Boon Yew is the Principle UX Designer at Elsevier, one of the world's major providers of scientific, technical, and medical information, and former lead designer at agency SapientRazorfish.
His work involves solving complex and messy problems that put people at the heart of the solution. He's an active contributor to UX communities, serving on the board of the IxDA and as a local leader for IxDA London.
For the bookworms, avid readers and everyone else, come join us for an evening to discover unconventional but powerful perspectives through books and Boon.
Agenda for the evening
7 - 7:30pm Registration, networking, refreshments
7:30 - 8:30pm Conversation with Boon
8:30 - 9pm: Questions, networking
We're hoping to keep the session really informal and casual where it is more conversation centric so bring along some of your burning questions to the session. The value of the meetup is as good as the questions asked :)
Also, if you would like to ask the question privately, please email me at [masked] and I'll ask them on your behalf :) Alternatively, you may like to tweet us the questions to @IxDASG (http://www.twitter.com/ixdasg) and we can have that answered!
As we have very limited space, please only RSVP if you can make it so that others can confirm their attendance. See you there!
P.s: Do you know we have a newsletter where we send out updates on news, events and opportunities? Sign up here: http://eepurl.com/dBToYD
P.p.s: Would you like to sponsor the meetup and have some airtime for your brands / business? Let us know! We welcome sponsors for venues and refreshments.
