UPDATE: due to the potentially large turn out, Ron and Michael (from MIGS workshops) will be giving quickie tutorial about all things photo-related BEFORE this meetup. Hopefully, this will alleviate some technical issues so we can start the meetup as scheduled. Just show up at 4:45pm and we'll be there.
We're going on a walk while shooting long exposures in the city streets at night. We start in the evening at 6 pm from Admiralty and walk and shoot all the way to Causeway Bay. We'll grab some fast food at Wanchai or at Patterson Food Street, Causeway Bay. This depends on how long we shoot at each location or when it's dinner time.
Long Exposure is becoming very popular with digital cameras. It's a fascinating part of photography, making your everyday scenes look spectacular and seeing the passage of time. Long trailing lights from cars and buses on the streets. People walking past will disappear from your photos with long exposure. Here are some examples.
What you need:
1. A DSLR camera or one that can be set to manual control for: aperture, ISO, shutter speed. Charge your camera batteries. Long exposures keeps the camera on for a longer time.
2. A tripod.
Here's a video tutorial.
