Aim: Members Discussion Meeting to join part of our Projects Grant.

Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme (http://www.info.gov.hk/gia/general/201106/16/P201106160273.htm) by The Advisory Committee on Arts Development (ACDFS) is opened for the first round of applications till 6pm, 16th Sept 2011.

You have to present your proposal to our Executive Committee for reviewing before 8th Sept, 2011. Therefore, please ready your ideas/ questions for the meeting discussion, we will try to sort out most of your uncertain of your project.

With the objective of strengthening the cultural software and building capacity of the arts sector of Hong Kong, ACDFS will provide funding support for innovative and impactful proposals that contribute to the objectives of:

Programme/contents development, Audience building, Arts education, and Capacity development of arts practitioners and arts groups ACDFS aims to fill the gaps between various public funding schemes and sources for the arts and to support worthwhile initiatives of a larger scale or a longer time frame from individual artists as well as small and medium arts groups which contribute to the cultural and arts development in the community. ACDFS seeks to promote various arts forms including, but not limited to, performing arts, visual arts and multi-disciplinary art forms. ACDFS also seeks to cultivate a supportive culture for the arts in the community and to foster a tripartite partnership among the Government, arts groups and the private sector to promote arts and cultural development in Hong Kong.

We are intending to apply Project Grants .

Project Grants are intended to support non-profit making Proposals that fulfill one or more of the objectives of programme/contents development, audience building, arts education and capacity development, contributing to local arts development.

Assessment Criteria

Artistic/Professional merit Creativity and originality Impact on arts sector and the community Technical feasibility Financial viability, and Experience and Execution Capability of the Applicant, partner, participating artists and arts practitioners in respect of the Proposal. Katherine Wong and I with an idea on a project of Fine Art Photography in a small team. Anyone interested, please come and join for discussion.
