Join JavaScripters from around Louisville Wednesday, March 2nd, and learn to write functional JavaScript like a pro! You'll be able to work at your own pace, and get your hands dirty tackling a series of challenges accessible and fun for JavaScript beginners and veterans alike.

Please bring a laptop and if possible follow the setup requirements before you show up (see below: SETUP REQUIREMENTS). Those who have everything handled can help others at the start of the workshop, so we can get up and running quickly.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

You'll need the following in order to get the most out of this workshop:

1) A working knowledge of JavaScript's basic features.
2) A laptop.
3) Node.js installed on your laptop.
4) The workshopper installed on your laptop. We're using nodeschool.io's functional-javascript workshopper: http://nodeschool.io/#functionaljavascript.
5) Access to the Louisville.IO Slack team: join at http://slackin.louisville.io/.

Install Node by going to https://nodejs.org/ and following the instructions for your system. Then open a terminal and use npm (included with Node) to install our workshopper:

npm install -g functional-javascript-workshop
