After assembling at the Four Mile Creek Trailhead across the street from the Dairy Queen on New Market Road, aka Route 5, we will strike out North, going through Four Mile Park, crossing under I-295 and continuing to Dory Park. After taking a rest stop at the halfway point we will loop around the lake in Dorey Park and return to Four Mile Creek Park on the Virginia Capital Trail .
This is a five and a half mile hike on an improved pedestrian/bicycle path.
There is no requirement to be able to leap a tall building in a single bound or negotiate tree roots, rocks, rustic trails, stairs, low hanging vines, toxic plants, scorpions or river rocks. This hike rates a nine on the ten point easy scale.
