May 11, noon: Free the Trees at Reedy Creek Trailhead!

Volunteers needed!

Vines are killing our trees in the James River Park. (See attached photo for example.)

Help free the trees by removing invasive English Ivy. Led by our favorite botanist Ryan Ginsburg from the James River Park System (JRPS), we'll be working in the area around Reedy Creek next to the JRPS Headquarters building.

Wear long pants, bring work gloves, water, sturdy shoes, hand pruners (if you have them) and a sunny disposition!

All necessary tools will be provided though you are encouraged to bring your own pruners/clippers if you have them.

Meet in front of the JRPS HQ building; see photo album for a map of where it is in relation to the parking lot.
