This class is geared to help the writer who wants to convert other source material into a screenplay. Students will study movies whose writers successfully faced this difficult task, and learn by example why some adaptations don’t work and why others do. Instructor: Helene Wagner teaches screenwriting classes at U of R and is the Founder and Director of the Virginia Screenwriters’ Forum (http://www.virginiascreenwritersforum.org/). Cost: $49.
