We are back to Temple Baptist Church!!
Philip Columbus has used a system based primarily on the work of Maryland photographer, Peter Krogh. Based on Peter's books and some other reading, Philip has put together a system that works for him, to capture your older photos. Philip has recently presented a full week presentation of these techniques to the Peninsula Life Long Learning in Newport News. His full title for the presentation is:
“Digitizing and Curating Your Old Photos, Slides, and Negatives With a Digital Camera.”
Philip will look at what it takes to digitize and organize, both physically and electronically, your collection of old, analog photos. He will examine the strategies for:
*assembling the collection
*organizing the collection
*organizing the digital files
*scanning the old images
*and sharing the collection.
Bring your questions about ways to save your older photos and learn tips from Philip!
Our Members have expressed the desire to learn more about photography. In touch with this we have decided to create a "photo critique " to be discussed at meetings which will critique our photos in order not to critize the image but to suggest improvements or arrangements of compositional items ,colors or patterns that in subsequent images might assist in greater success in contests and in general!
We hope by these short secessions during meetings to share our knowledge , since all learning is helpful! We can all learn from one another so submit a image you wish to have reviewd by the group!
